On the way to being released to DVD/VHS at earliest mid-2004, the faith-cheering movie Luther will show in theaters that show promising turnouts.
The movie was in theathers during the autumn of 2003 but can be resucitated one-week for every 500 tickets sold.
Dennis A. Clauss, Executive Producer of Luther, sent out a statement informing moviegoers who wish to see the film hit the big screen can do something to help.
"We encourage those who want to see the movie in their area sometime during January through March to assess the possibility of attracting 500 moviegoers."
"Luther," starring Joseph Fiennes, Sir Peter Ustinov and Alfred Molina, has broad audience appeal and an exceptionally high rating by those who have seen it. In numerous communities public schools, as well as various Christian churches and parochial schools, have brought groups to see this historical epic. In larger-population areas where there are community clergy groups, we may be able to arrange a free "clergy only" advance showing to gain their confidence and enthusiastic support.
Clauss requests that those able to rally the support of 500 moviegoers should contact Rhonda English at: 800-847-4836 ext. 5552 or rhonda.english@thrivent.com no later than January 15th.
