iPod Touch 6th Generation Review, Price: Six Cool Things That You Can Do

Oct 20, 2015 05:06 PM EDT

The iPod Touch 6th Generation was released this last summer, but don't be surprised if you didn't notice it.  It is an update of the 5th Generation, but it is only a slightly minor one.  From what is seen on the iPod Touch 6th Generation Review, here are Six Cool Things that You can Do.

1)       Change the Color.

Granted, this has to be done before you purchase the iPod Touch 6th Generation, and Apple's online store has a few new color options available to the user, as you can purchase it in Silver, Gold, Space Gray, Pink, Blue, and Product Red.

2)       Use the Updated Camera

The camera inside the 6th Generation of the iPod Touch is 8 Megapixels, and it is similar to the one on the iPhone 5S, capable of shooting up to 120 frames per second slow motion videos at 720p.  The front-facing FaceTime camera has also been updated as well.

3)       Do a Whole Lot More with the Improved Processor

Though this isn't visible on the outside, Apple created the iPod Touch 6th Generation to have an A8 processor, M8 motion co-processor, and much more to give much better performance than the previous model, according to 9 to 5 Mac

4)       Game, Game, and More Game

Gizmag's review of the iPod Touch Sixth Generation stated candidly that a Wi-Fi only smartphone is not necessarily needed in a world that is cluttered with iPhones, Android phones, and Windows phones.  It also recognized that most kids have iPod Touches, as most parents are not prone to let their children play on their smartphone.  Surely an iPod Touch sixth generation can get a whole lot of free gaming apps, and a 3DS or PlayStation Vita could cost more including the games.  If nothing else, the iPod Sixth Generation is a Wi-Fi gaming machine.  By the way, the Apple iPod Touch Sixth Generation allows for six family members to share purchases from iTunes, iBooks, and the App Store.

5)       Apple Music

In case you are not aware Apple Music has a free, three-month trial membership to "give the full Apple Music experience", and this applies for the iPod Touch 6th Generation.  This music streaming service includes Internet radio station Beats 1, a blog platform Connect to allow artists to share their posts, photos, videos and tracks with fans.  Then there is the incorporation of iTunes Radio.

6)       Upgrade to iOS 9 (If you haven't yet)

Apple is very proud of their new Operating System, and it is available for the iPod Touch, 6th Generation.  There are many new features to iOS 9, and we would suggest exploring them.  For those interested in Jailbreaking their iOS 9 device, this has only been recently made possible

Those interested in purchasing the iPod Touch 6th Generation get it for a starting price of $199 for the 16 GB version, $249 for the 32 GB, $299 for the 64 GB, and $399 for the 128 GB version.  They are available in the colors mentioned above on the Apple store site
