  • John Piper, Matt Chandler, Phil Wickham, Shane and Shane to Lead Linger Conference

    Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas will host Linger Conference, a time of extensive worship, prayer, reflection, and meditation on Scripture on February 14-15 of next year. Scheduled conference speakers include John Piper, Matt Chandler, Todd Wagner, and Tullian Tchividjian, and several well-known Christian artists including Shane and Shane, Phil Wickham, Bethany Dillon, and Jimmy Needham will perform at the seminar as well.
  • Dr. Tony Evans to Host Men and Women’s Conferences in July

    Dr. Tony Evans will host a conference for men entitled “No More Excuses!” on Saturday, and will later host “Desperate for Jesus,” for women on July 27. The well-known Dallas pastor will team up with former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, Jr. and musician Kirk Franklin for the men’s session. Evans and his wife, Lois, will also speak alongside Christian author Priscilla Shirer and singer Crystal Lewis two weeks later for the women’s conference.

    Yale Theology Professor Says Work is a Gift

    We spend more time at work than with family per person per day. Do you not wish to work with God and the Holy Spirit in order to renew our strength in our work? Campus Evangelical Fellowship Press (CEF Press) invited Dr. Miroslav Volf (theology professor at Yale University) to host a feature forum titled “Embrace the work of the Holy Spirit” in the past weekend, featuring the two main themes of the workplace and renewal of spiritual life, to guide the audience on how to wisely use the spiritual blessing to create a more Godly work environment.

    Double Portions Ministry in San Francisco Bay Area Prepares ''Talented Women in Heaven

    The annual international Double Portions Ministry convention organized by the Double Portions Ministry Women's Centre took place at the Santa Clara Hyatt Regency Hotel, from the evening of the 14th through to the afternoon of the 15th. One to two hundred sisters from 12 churches in the San Francisco Bay area attended in preparation to become "talented women in Heaven".

    10,000 Christians in Hong Kong Pray for Youth Drug Problems

    The 14th annual million hour prayer movement “Do This Prayer” was held last month at the Hong Kong football stadium, which drew over 10,000 believers from throughout Hong Kong. With the theme “Stop, Think – Prayer, Life, Positive Energy”, the organizing committee - Hong Kong Jireh Foundation and Hong Kong Campus Crusade for Christ – has placed this year's focus on youth’s saying no to drugs. The speakers for this year’s venue were Rev. Ping-Kwong Li, chairman of the Hong Kong Church Network for the Poor, and Dr. Philemon Choi, honorary director of Breakthrough Ministries.
